FAQ

Questions About Builds, Repairs, Reservations and Pickup

The answers below cover the standard process. A specific listing, quote or invoice may include additional terms for that transaction.

Do you build PCs with used or open-box parts?

Yes, when they offer good value and the customer is comfortable with them. Component condition is disclosed in the quote or listing. New parts can also be requested.

Do I need to choose the parts before requesting a build?

No. Start with your games, software, monitor, budget, storage needs and appearance preferences. The recommended parts and tradeoffs are explained before you approve the build.

How much is the custom-build deposit?

A 30% deposit is normally required before parts are ordered. It is applied to the total price. After parts are ordered, the deposit may be reduced by nonreturnable part and restocking costs if the customer cancels.

How long does a custom build take?

Turnaround is quoted for each build because component availability, shipping and testing time vary. The estimate is provided before the deposit is accepted.

How do I reserve an available PC?

Send the reservation email from the listing. After availability is confirmed, a standard $50 deposit holds the PC for 48 hours and is applied to the purchase price.

Where is pickup available?

Pickup is available by appointment in Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas. The exact meeting location and time are shared only after the reservation or build is confirmed.

Do you ship computers?

Local pickup is the standard process. Shipping may be considered case by case, but it is not guaranteed and must be approved in writing for the exact computer before payment.

What testing is performed?

Testing depends on the system and listing, but completed PCs are inspected for assembly, temperatures, storage health, memory stability, drivers and basic workload or gaming performance before handoff. Listing-specific testing is documented when available.

What warranty is included?

Complete PCs include a 30-day limited workmanship and functionality warranty. Repair and upgrade labor includes a 14-day workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties may also apply to new components.

Do you repair laptops?

Only select laptop RAM upgrades, storage upgrades and thermal-paste service after the exact model is reviewed. General laptop repair, screens, keyboards, charging ports and board-level repair are not offered.

Do you offer repair service in Northwest Arkansas?

Not currently. Northwest Arkansas service is focused on custom builds and appointment-only pickup for completed PCs. Repair and upgrade service is centered on Little Rock and Central Arkansas.

Can you use parts I already own?

Yes, when they are compatible and in suitable condition. The Tech Bench workmanship coverage applies to the installation, but customer-supplied components are not covered as parts.

Do you install Windows?

Windows installation and driver setup can be included in a quote or service request. The customer is responsible for a valid license unless the written quote specifically includes one.

Can you build a PC for Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve?

Yes. Editing workstations can be planned around the software, camera formats, codecs, memory needs, cache, active media storage and backup workflow.

Can I return a completed PC if I change my mind?

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted after handoff. Verified defects or material listing mismatches are handled under the Return and Limited Warranty policies.
