Custom Build Agreement

These terms explain the standard custom-build process. The written quote for a specific build controls when it includes different details.

Effective July 14, 2026

Quotes and component approval

  • Quotes are normally valid for 7 calendar days unless the quote states otherwise.
  • Component prices and availability can change before the deposit is paid.
  • The customer approves the final parts list, price and major appearance choices before parts are ordered.
  • A material substitution requires customer approval. Minor equivalent items such as a cable or fan may be substituted when function and value are not reduced.

Deposit and payment

  • A 30% custom-build deposit is normally required before parts are ordered.
  • The deposit is applied to the total price.
  • After parts are ordered, the deposit becomes non-refundable to the extent needed to cover nonreturnable parts, supplier fees and restocking costs.
  • If The Tech Bench cancels the project or cannot provide the agreed build, the unused deposit is refunded.
  • The remaining balance is due before or at the confirmed handoff unless the written quote states otherwise.

Schedule and changes

  • Turnaround is quoted per build and is an estimate, not a guaranteed completion date.
  • Supplier delays, defective parts, customer changes and additional testing can change the estimate.
  • A requested change may alter the price, deposit and schedule and must be approved before work continues.

Customer-supplied parts

  • Customer-supplied parts may be used only after compatibility and condition are reviewed.
  • The Tech Bench does not provide a parts warranty on customer-supplied components.
  • Workmanship related to installing an accepted customer-supplied part is covered by the applicable workmanship period.

Testing and pickup

  • Completed systems are inspected and tested before handoff.
  • Pickup is by appointment in Little Rock or Northwest Arkansas as agreed for the build.
  • The customer may inspect the system at handoff and should report any concern promptly.
These policies describe the standard process and do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. A written listing, invoice or quote may include additional terms for a specific transaction.
