Repair and Upgrade Terms
These terms apply to accepted repair and upgrade work. A request is not accepted until the device, requested service and appointment are confirmed.

Supported devices and work
- Desktop diagnostics, troubleshooting, component replacement, cleaning and upgrades are accepted after review.
- Laptop work is limited to compatible RAM upgrades, storage upgrades and thermal-paste replacement after model review.
- Screen, keyboard, charging-port, battery, liquid-damage and board-level laptop repair are not offered unless separately confirmed in writing.
Authorization and estimates
- The customer authorizes the agreed diagnostic or service work and any stated fee before work begins.
- Additional paid work requires customer approval when the discovered issue changes the scope.
- A quote may change when hidden damage, incompatibility or additional faults are discovered.
Data and access
- Customers should back up important data before service whenever possible.
- The Tech Bench does not guarantee against data loss during diagnosis, repair, operating-system work or drive failure.
- Do not send passwords by website form or ordinary email. A temporary local account or another limited-access method may be requested only when necessary.
Parts
- Replacement-part condition and price are disclosed before approval when supplied by The Tech Bench.
- Customer-supplied parts are installed at the customer’s risk and are not covered as components by The Tech Bench.
- Removed parts are returned to the customer when requested before service, unless disposal is required for safety or agreed otherwise.
Workmanship
Accepted repair and upgrade labor includes the 14-day workmanship coverage described in the Limited Warranty Policy.
These policies describe the standard process and do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. A written listing, invoice or quote may include additional terms for a specific transaction.
